Richmond, VA – Legacy Care welcomes a new Partner in Care, Michele Irons, MD. She will team up with Kavitha Krottapalli, MD, and together, will deliver quality, compassionate care to patients in a rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility in Richmond, Virginia.
Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Irons has devoted more than 18 years to patient care in healthcare systems across Virginia. She earned her undergraduate degrees from the College of William & Mary and Virginia State University. Dr. Irons then earned her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School. She is a published researcher and has delivered medical presentations to state and regional medical groups.
Dr. Krottapalli has been passionate about healthcare her entire life, leading her to earn a medical degree from the University of Health Sciences in India. After moving to Richmond, she volunteered as a research associate at the Medical College of Virginia in cardio-physiology where she also co-authored published articles. Dr. Krottapalli completed her residency at MCV-Chesterfield Family Practice. She then practiced as a cardiology hospitalist for several years before joining a hospitalist group that care for patients in a local healthcare system.
