Virginia Beach, Va – It’s a typical day for Legacy Care Chief Medical OfficerDanny Felty, M.D., FAAFP, CMD. In between patient care and local and national leadership responsibilities, he also carves out time for teaching our next generation of physicians.
For more than a year, Dr. Felty has been delivering didactic presentations to participants in the Bon Secours St. Francis Family Medicine Residency Program in partnership with Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. His most recent presentation to residents focused on UTI infections in post-acute care.
With physician and staffing shortages, it’s critical for mentors like Dr. Felty to share first-hand clinical insights and best practices with physicians in training.
A graduate of the Virginia Military Institute, Dr. Felty earned his Bachelor’s of Science in biology. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University where he also completed his residency.
Legacy Care’s medical group delivers patient care in healthcare systems, inpatient rehabilitation centers, post-acute care facilities and assisted living communities that are located across the country. We are leaders in transitional healthcare, delivering patient-centered solutions. Our compassionate physicians and advanced care practitioners are dedicated to positive patient outcomes.
