Virginia Beach, Va – It’s a bit of a homecoming for Legacy Care as we welcome Family Nurse Practitioner Chassitie Gomez, NP-C. She recently rejoined our medical group, now serving as a Regional Education Specialist in the Hampton-Roads area of Virginia.
Chassitie first joined our medical group several years ago, soon after she received her first of two Master’s Degrees in Nursing.
Back then, she delivered patient care in a Virginia-based skilled nursing community, A family move – her husband serves in the U.S. Navy – resulted in several relocations that led her back to the area.
Travel has been a key part of Chassitie’s prestigious career path.
As a certified trauma nurse, she delivered care in emergency departments for several large healthcare systems around the country. Chassitie also has deep experience in acute dialysis, orthopedics and hospice.
“I don’t see myself doing anything but nursing. I love it,” Chassitie said. “Nursing aligns with my purpose, and I was placed here to serve others.”
In her new role, Chassitie will combine her first-hand clinical expertise with her passion for teaching and mentorship. She will educate and onboard new clinicians who join our team.
Chassitie earned a Master’s of Science in Nursing with an emphasis of Clinical Systems and Leadership from the University of Arizona and a Master’s of Science in Nursing from the Family Nurse Practitioner Program of Bradley University. She is also working on her Doctorate of Nursing Practice.
Married to her high school sweetheart, Chassitie and her husband love paddle boarding and kayaking with their daughter, son and dog Gizmo.
