Washington, D.C. –Legacy Care’s Chief Medical Officer Danny Felty, M.D., FAAFP, CMD, recently spent several days on Capitol Hill in our nation’s capital.
Dr. Felty was with a group of AMDA – The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine‘s board members. Together, they met with elected officials and their staff. Through these sessions, the AMDA team advocated for legislative change that impacts quality patient care and other important issues in long-term care facilities.
Dr. Felty was recently elected to AMDA’s Board of Directors. He will serve a 3-year term as a State Presidents’ Council Representative, where he will work as a board liaison to AMDA’s state chapters. Dr. Felty brings much experience to this role. He is the current President of the Virginia Medical Directors Association, a state chapter of AMDA. He has been a member of the chapter since 2008, and has served in various leadership positions since 2010. Dr. Felty has participated in the AMDA House of Delegates since 2010 and on the State Presidents’ Council since 2015.
