Legacy Care Medical Director Launches Kidney Disease Program

Sajid Naveed, M.D., MRCP, a Legacy Care medical director serving patients at Canterbury Rehabilitation & Healthcare, recently launched a comprehensive program for those who have chronic kidney disease (CKD). The goal of the CKD program is to preserve a patient’s remaining kidney function and avoid further decline.

Dr. Naveed will train staff and oversee program protocols. “Our teams will work to reduce symptoms, decrease disability, increase quality of life and promote independence,” said Dr. Naveed.

Board certified in Internal Medicine, Kidney Diseases and Hypertension, Dr. Naveed has been with Legacy Care since 2020. He earned his medical degree from King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan, graduating with top scores. He then earned a post graduate medical degree from the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom, serving as a collegiate member of The Royal Colleges of London, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Dr. Naveed completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and fellowship at the University of Alabama.
