Richmond, VA – For the first time, Legacy Care will be delivering care to patients at Canterbury Health and Rehabilitation in Richmond, Va. Sajid Naveed, MD, part of Legacy Care’s Medical Group, will serve as medical director.

“While this is the first time we’ve partnered with Canterbury Health and Rehabilitation, we’re not new to caring for patients in post-acute care communities” said Legacy Care President. “More than 100 providers in our medical group deliver care to patients in 130 nursing homes, long-term care facilities, inpatient rehabilitation centers and other post-acute care communities across the country. We’ve had the honor of doing so for more than a decade.”

Sajid Naveed, MD, MRCP, is board certified in Internal Medicine, Kidney Diseases and Hypertension. He earned his medical degree from King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan, graduating with top scores. He then earned a post graduate medical degree from the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom, serving as a collegiate member of The Royal Colleges of London, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Dr. Naveed completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and fellowship at the University of Alabama.

Canterbury Health & Rehabilitation is a 190-bed center that offers comprehensive continuum of care including inpatient and outpatient therapy, orthopedic rehabilitation, wound care and pulmonary rehab.
