Psychiatric Mental Health NP Joins Legacy Care

Virginia Beach, Va – Residents in a Virginia skilled nursing facility received an early holiday addition to their community thanks to the arrival of Doris Mbony, PMHNP-BC.

Doris is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.

She has been in nursing for more than 22 years, gaining experience in large healthcare systems, psychiatric facilities and long-term care communities in Michigan, Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Virginia.

“My goal is to compassionately deliver patient-centered care that meets the health and psychosocial needs of patients and their families,” Doris said.

Doris received her nursing degree from Grand Canyon University and her Master of Science – Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree from Walden University. She also has additional specialized hours of training in medication management from the Psychiatric Institute of Washington.
