Legacy Care NP Earns Doctorate of Nursing Practice Degree
Richmond, Va – It is an honor to celebrate a prestigious career milestone achieved by Jaimie Tahir, DNP.
Jaimie recently earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree, specializing in Family Medicine and Geriatrics.
DNP programs prepare nurse leaders for “the highest level of nursing practice to improve patient outcomes and expand their knowledge of healthcare ethics, policy and practice.”
Jaimie has dedicated her career to patient care, first beginning as a physical therapist before earning her nursing degree.
“I found my real purpose through my nursing career,” said Jaimie.
“Having that unique, meaningful human connection during a patient’s sickest moments and being a critical part of their recovery gives me real professional satisfaction,” she added.
Jaimie has been with Legacy Care for 6 years. Highly experienced in acute and post-acute care, she currently serves patients in several Virginia-based skilled nursing facilities.
Mentorship also is Jaimie’s passion. “I want to help nurse practitioner students achieve their professional dreams,” she said.
Jaimie earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from Maryville University of Saint Louis.
Legacy Care is deeply proud of Jaimie’s prestigious career achievement. We’re honored to have devoted, talented clinicians like Jaimie on the team – all focused on building healthy communities across the Mid-Atlantic, together.
