Legacy Care Expands in Dover, Delaware

Legacy Care warmly welcomes our Dover, Delaware Partners in Care: Sarah Kamara, NP-C and (L) Yvette Walker, MD, MPH (R).

Dr. Walker is an internist who has delivered patient care for more than 30 years. She earned a bachelor’s of science in biology from Utica College of Syracuse University, a medical degree from SUNY – Downstate and a Master’s degree in Public Health from Columbia University. Dr. Walker has cared for patients in a variety of hospitals and public health facilities across New York. She also held several leadership positions, including serving as a Chief Medical Officer, HIV/AIDS clinic director and an assistant professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Sarah is a nurse practitioner who has devoted her career to patient care for more than 21 years. She started as critical care and intensive care unit nurse. Then, she graduated from Wilmington University as a family nurse practitioner. Her experience includes managing patients  with behavioral, anxiety and psychiatric disorders, occupational injuries and chronic conditions. Sarah’s clinical leadership positions includes serving as a lead provider in a nursing home.
